Communities In Schools (CIS) is a nationally accredited 5-1 (c)(3) nonprofit dropout prevention agency that surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS currently serves approximately 10,200 students and their families in 24 schools in Berkeley and Charleston Counties.
